Seriously, seeing is believing
Look, my expectations were already pretty high. This has been one of my most anticipated movies of the year ever since I saw the first trailer and then avoided the others to avoid spoilers. But even so, I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but this might actually be the best animated feature in DreamWorks history. This is seriously one of the most visually gorgeous cartoons ever made. It is simply stunning from start to finish, full of enchantment and unparalleled beauty that fills the screen with color and life.
takes your breath away in every frame
It really looks like a Studio Ghibli animation based on Monet paintings, and sometimes it’s even hard to process everything they have to show. It’s definitely the most influential piece of animation I’ve seen since the first Spider-Verse; and the evolution of what the studio did with Bad Boys; and "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish", and if you hesitate, this one is even prettier than all of them. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be in IMAX, and maybe even in 3D, and I’ll definitely be lucky when it comes out officially, but even in a regular XD theater, it was a great spectacle that drew me in. The story itself is quite simple in its concept and essence and if there is anything that can lead some people to criticize the film, it would probably be for that. But I don’t see why anyone would do that because everything they want is done in a unique and irresistible way.
we built victoriously
I think people forget that even simple stories like this take a lot of effort to make them work, and this movie looks effortless because it doesn’t even have to do much and it immediately wins you over. It is an extremely exciting journey from start to finish, full of very beautiful themes and charming and lovable characters that are worth remembering. The pacing is calm and knows how to take its time with just the right amount of patience, the action is measured but when it happens, it’s inspiring and the emotional moments hit hard, but never by force, but because they earn it in everything they do. Humor and melodrama are balanced just right, although it is much more focused on the dramatic side, but it is one of those that just warms the heart in a very cozy and touching way.
